India without classroom hunger and illiteracy

I think mid-day meal scheme is the best way to remove classroom hunger from India. It is doing a great job with Akshaya Patra. As a result numbers are improving. Over the years enrolment has increased, absenteeism has decreased and concentration of kids has also increased during the classes. If mid-day meal scheme is able to remove classroom hunger from India then there won't be anything better for India. India is one of the youngest countries in the world and it will be youngest in near future. Imagine our country where no child is hungry, no child is going to work to earn themselves daily food. Every child is coming to school.

If that thing happens that no child in skipping the school because of hunger then illiteracy will decrease in our country. Our entire generation will be educated. Imagine India's future when entire generation is educated. There will be no stopping for us then. It will have potential to become next super power. Actually India will be the youngest super power of the world then. At present there are lots of people who are doing wonders with their skill all around the world imagine the time when an entire generation will be educated.

I hope mid-day meal scheme keep progressing in this manner only. All things mentioned above will be possible if mid-day meal scheme successfully eliminate classroom hunger. Let's come together and help the government to remove classroom hunger from India. Let's all help the government and Akshaya Patra in all possible manner. Let's help poor children in living their childhood. Let's fulfill the dream of education of the children of this nation. Let's remove child labour from our country. I urge to all the people of this nation that please stop taking any sort of work from children. Make all the above mentioned 'Let's' sentences your pledge and take the responsibility to fulfill the right of education of each and every child of this country. Along with that I urge to the parents of poor children as well that please send your children to school. Your child will get nutritious food there and will get good education as well. Education will make your child's future bright and will earn much more in future than what he/she is earning now.

Now let's just hope that Akshaya Patra and mid-day meal scheme remove the classroom hunger and take our country to the position which we discussed above.

Eradication of Classroom Hunger

After bringing every child to classroom, now classroom hunger should be removed. Poor Parents will send their child to school only if they are assured that their child is going to get proper food there. Moreover food is the basic need of any human body. So if a child is hungry he/she won't be able to concentrate on studies. There will be no meaning of educating them. First the need of food has to satisfied to make child focus on studies. So the first focus should be on that every child is coming to the classroom or school then he shouldn't be hungry then only educating them will be fruitful.

To fight classroom hunger government of India established Mid-day meal scheme in 2003. Mid-day meal scheme is serving around 12 crore children across 12.65 lac schools around the country. It is the largest such programme in the world. Before mid-day meal scheme one foundation started feeding the children of government schools. Akshaya Patra was that foundation. The Akshaya Patra foundation was established in 2000 by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada and inspiration behind it was one day Mr. Prabhupada saw a group of children fighting with street dogs over the scraps of food. This heart breaking incident lead to the Akshaya Patra foundation. It was established with the vision of "No child in India shall be deprived of education because of hunger."

This effort by the foundation started showing the results over a period of time. There was improvement in the health of children. It also increased enrolment and better concentration during class hours. In 2003 Akshaya Patra partnered with government's mid day meal scheme to reach out to more and more children. This partnership works with the objectives like eliminating classroom hunger, increasing school enrolment, increasing school hunger etc. At present Akshaya Patra foundation feeds 1.4 million children in 10000 government schools. Moreover it is working towards mission of feeding 5 million children by 2020.

Just imagine how much blessed we are that we get proper food to eat and good education for our better future. I think there should be lots of foundations like Akshaya Patra. Every child has right to get nutritious food and right to get proper education. Every child has right to live their childhood they are not born to do the work from the age of 5 or 6. So let's come together and help those unfortunate children by doing small contribution. It takes Rs. 750 only to feed a child for one whole year. So go to the website of Akshaya Patra and donate. If you help to feed even a single child that means you are giving a life to that child. If you can't donate then atleast make sure that you don't give rise to the child labour. Come let's give these children their childhood, good education and good food.

Children in India

India is one of the youngest nations in the world and has more than 50% of its population under the age of 25. Unfortunately it is also a nation where illiteracy and poverty is widely spread due to various reasons (but the main reason is corruption). There is huge amount of income inequality in our country and the main sufferers of that are children of our country. Due to income inequality children born in low income families are underweight and suffer from moderate to severe growth stunting as a result of malnutrition. Yes, people don't even one square meal a day here. So for them first target is to earn the proper meal everyday. It's the basic need which is to be fulfilled first then everything else come. So these people send their children to earn rather than to school.

For those people education is like a dream as they can't fulfill the basic needs like food, shelter and clothing. In rural India poor people don't even have access to pure drinking water and proper sanitation facilities. In all these circumstances from where will they think of educating their children. So to eliminate the classroom hunger first you have to bring each and every child to classroom.

To bring each and every child to classroom following things should be done:

In rural India campaigns should be organised to make people understand the importance of education with the help of audio visual effects. Visual effects will create interest in the village people and it will become easy for them to understand that if their children are educated then they will earn much more. While in urban India not much effort will be required as the result of education is already in front of poor people. They are seeing it everyday but still awareness is required.

Child labour laws should be made stricter and punishments for those who are breaking these laws should be more severe. Both parents sending a child to work and the one who is taking work from a child should be punished severely. Elimination of child labour is the first step towards elimination of classroom hunger. Elimination of child labour will bring more and more children to classroom.

Third point is that government schools should not be established in a remote area. In villages or in cities schools should be established in such an area that children can reach there comfortably. School's should be constructed in such a way that children shouldn't like to go home or miss it for even a single day.

Last but not the least people should be made aware of that their children will get a meal in school. There main problem is that only they don't know whether they are going to get the food to eat or not. So if schools are giving one time meal to their child there is no problem for them to send their child to school.

Sedan, SUV or MPV?

If you are living in India & you want to buy a car around rupees 10 lacs then there is going to be lots of confusion. There are so many alternatives within that price range that it may create chaos around anyone. There are three main segments in that price range. Sedan, MPV & SUV & in each of them there are some good alternatives. So let's take a look at them one by one.

Sedan

Let's commence with the sedan, I think top three sedans in that price range are Verna Fluidic, SX4 & Honda City. Hyundai's Fluidic Verna is leading the segment at the moment & it deserves to be on top with the kind of features it has. It would have been perfect car if Hyundai has focused more on its design. Anyways it is still leading the segment. The former leader of this segment is Honda City which has everything good looks, great engine & top of all it was a symbol of high class but now it's no. 1 position has taken by Verna. Due to this Honda launched a new look of the City with its diesel engine & with that City is finding its way back to the top.

My favorite in this segment is SX4. It's a complete package of good muscular looks, powerful engine & nice average. What else you expect from a Sedan. As Maruti Suzuki position it in the market, it's the real man. My preference & recommendation will always be SX4 for a Sedan around 10 lacs.

MPV

Multi Purpose Vehicle segment as a whole has come out of nowhere & has grown incredibly well. This type of car is best for bigger families. Top three cars in this segment are Ertiga, Innova & Evalia. Ertiga is a nice looking MPV but its engine is not that powerful, so it will trouble you on upward journeys. Maruti Suzuki needs to work on that of Ertiga. Innova's old look is still around 10 lacs & is still value for money. It's the perfect car in this segment. Moreover, it has ruled this segment for a very long time. Compact SUVs have taken away Innova's market, but it still is value for money car.

Evalia is a newer one in the segment, but it is establishing itself well. Nissan's Sunny & Terrano are performing pretty well in their respective segments. Now if Evalia found its feet among MPVs, it will be a bonus for Nissan. According to me Innova is the best car in this segment.

SUV

Companies can't produce SUV around 10 less, but then concept of the Compact SUV emerged in India in 2012. Compact SUVs can be made around rupees 10 lacs. Best Compact SUVs in the market today are Duster, Ecosport & Terrano. Duster was the pioneer in the segment so it got a huge advantage of that & Renault made lots of money from it. Duster is not anyway near to either Ecosport or Terrano but it is much better than Quanto that's why it is good.

Ford Ecosport was about to be the pioneer of the segment, but it came after Duster due to cost cutting issues but it has affected the market of Duster immensely. It has got the looks of SUV, engine of Ford & good average as compare to other SUVs its best. Nissan Terrano is known as Duster based SUV, but much better than Duster in everything except engine as Terrano has the same engine. Both Ecosport & Terrano have made Duster disappear from the market, but still stand out among them in Ecosport. I am still waiting for XA Alpha.

If I have to choose from Sedan, MPV or SUV, then I will go for SUV anytime.

Ab Ki Baar Modi Sarkaar

Who is Sonia Gandhi:

How well this mother - son duo have used the name 'Gandhi' & their deeds has raised the questions on all the good things done by Rajiv & Indira Gandhi. What best they have done is that they made great economist Dr. Man Mohan Singh their puppet 10 years ago & used him even better than the name 'Gandhi'. Now we have had enough of corruption, scams, unemployment, rapes, illiteracy etc etc in last 10 long years under congress. We have reahced that stage when we see the ads of congress showing development either we switch off the tv or we switch the channel. I think villagers featured in that ads will be laughing on it after seeing it. Dus saal se humko khokhla karne walo janta maaf nahin karegi.

Now let's move on to Arvind Kejriwal, I will analyze Kejriwal in two phases 1. Kejriwal before Delhi CM & 2. Kejriwal after Delhi CM. Kejriwal before Delhi CM,  when he came in politics, he brought ray of hope that he will remove the corruption from the country & I think he was doing so. He was bringing scams in front of people, he was fighting for jan lokpal in all he was an anti congress person & for all those reasons delhi people voted for him. And to make the government in Delhi, he made an alliance with congress & his phase after Delhi CM began. In that phase he did nothing he just resigned after couple of months & became an anti BJP person. He came to Gujarat to show that Gujarat is not developed but it failed. He has stopped talking against some businessmen because it would affect his vote bank. Hence it is proved that he is the man of congress who just want to affect the votes of Modiji. As a result he is being slapped every other day.

Now let's move on to Narendra Modi, when he was declared the PM candidate there was wave of happiness around the country. He has been accepted by the whole country because of the development he has done in Gujarat & he is expected to do the same for the nation too. He has made Gujarat the automobile hub for the whole world & it is just one small thing he has done, there is a lot more he has done in Gujarat. So if he becomes the PM he will bring the change in our nation too & hopefully India will be back on the track of growth. By considering all these factors I will vote for him in this elections kyunki 'Ab Ki Baar Modi Sarkaar'.

Emergence of Convertibles

Once on work I saw BMW 650i convertible here in Ahmedabad. I was happy that convertible cars has hit Ahmedabad roads and that made me to explore other options among convertible cars. No no I am not going to buy one, at this stage I can't even afford to think of buying it. It was just to add one more classification in my dream cars. Now let's see most promising players in Indian market.

BMW

BMW earlier had couple of its 6 series cars 640d & 650i & now it has launched one of its best selling cars Z4 in India. 640d has 3.0 litre 24V diesel engine with maximum power of 313 bhp & 630 Nm of maximum torque while 650i has 4.3 litres 32V petrol engine with maximum power of 435 bhp & 650 Nm of maximum torque. Z4 has 3.0 litre 24V petrol engine with maximum power of 306 bhp & 400 Nm of maximum torque.
Among others there is 330d which has 3.0 litre 24V diesel engine but best among them is 650i & also the costliest among all BMW convertible cars as its on road price is around 1.5 crores. On the other hand Z4 is cheapest among them as its on road price is well under 1 crore. Moreover Z4 has potential of standing against newer convertible cars like Mercedes' SLK series.

Mercedes Benz

Merecdes Benz has only one contender if we consider only convertible cars & i.e SLK class 55 AMG which has 5.5 litre 32V petrol engine with maximum power of 421 bhp & 550 Nm of maximum torque. It has been launched recently in India buts all the cars in SLK class are having their own class. SLK 55 AMG's on road price is around 1.5 crores. Now only time will say that whether SLK 55 AMG is capable enough to put a dent in the market share of 650i or not.

Jaguar

Jaguar has two contenders among convertible cars F Type and XK R. F Type again has two models one is F Type 3.0 V6 S which has 3.0 litre 24V supercharged engine with maximum power of 375 bhp 339 Nm of maximum torque and the other is F Type 5.0 V8 S which has 5.0 litre 32V supercharged engine with maximum power of 488 bhp & 460 Nm of maximum torque. Jaguar XK R has 5.0 litre V8 supercharged engine with maximum power of 503 bhp & 625 Nm of maximum torque. Jaguar cars are comparatively costlier than others, all of them are ranging from 1.5 to 2 crores. If you are a ethnocentric person & have budget of 2 crores then you should definitely go for Jaguar.

Porsche

Porsche has Boxter & 911 in convertible cars. Porsche Boxter has 3.4 litre boxer engine with maximum power of 315 bhp & 360 Nm of maximum torque. Porsche 911 has various models with 3.6 litres boxer engine with maximum power of 350 bhp to 493 bhp & 390 Nm to 650 Nm of maximum torque. Porsche cars again are comparatively costlier than others as Boxter's price is around 1 crore & 911 goes well over 2 crores if you are planning to buy boxter then go for BMW Z4 instead as it is far better & cheaper than boxter. While 911 is on the different level all together, I can't even compare it with other cars.

Audi

Audi R8 spyder has 5.2 litre V10 petrol engine with maximum power of 518 bhp & 530 Nm of maximum torque. Its on road price is well over 2 crores. Ya it has more power than other cars & its engine is also better than others that's why its price is also more than others. If it is going to hurt anyone then its going to be Jaguar XK & Porsche 911 Carera turbo.

Mini

Mini Cooper convertible 1.6 has 1.6 litre petrol engine with maximum power of 121 bhp & 160 Nm of maximum torque. Its on road price is also well under 50 lacs. So its the cheapest convertible car in the premium segment of convertible cars. Mini is known for its excellence in small cars, so if you want small cute looking convertible then Mini Cooper convertible 1.6 is perfect for you.

The cheapest convertible car is San Motors' Storm pricing around 10 lacs. I know, I haven't mentioned big names like Ferrari, Lambhorgini,  Bentley, Bugati, Maseratti etc. in this. Here I have taken all the convertible cars under the price range of 2.5 crores & for all these cars feet are going well out of the blanket & if feet keeps going out of the blanket then we will start shivering, so better keep it to this much only.
